VYING FOR THE TITLE OF QUEEN



— Brittany Terry, 22, of Thornton will be vying for the title of Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival Queen this weekend in Pineville. The festival is one of Kentucky’s oldest. It was established in 1931 by Annie Walker Burns to honor her famous ancestor, pioneer explorer Dr. Thomas Walker.
