The Black Sheep Bakery staff had the privilege of grilling for the Letcher County Drug Court Recovery Walk on Saturday, May 12, at the River Park. We had a great time helping out. It was a great time for those in recovery and their families. A very moving testimony was given by a man named Matt. He was there with his beautiful family putting himself out there in hopes that he would encourage others to stay clean. He told a tale of success and failure on his road to recovery, but now he is clean and walking with his head held high. So proud to know there is hope and help for those being held in the grip of addiction. We are excited to be working with Letcher County Drug Court. We have met amazing folks who have quickly become family. We are thankful for these blessings.

The oven is being worked on to make it retain more heat and work more efficiently. Please be patient with us as we are frustrated by these growing pains we are feeling. Ouch!!! We are very excited for future prospects and know it is going to be very soon that the work will be complete. Pray for us please!

Black Sheep Bakery is now taking orders for loaf breads (white, 9 grain, and honey oat) and hot rolls. We will be baking on Mondays and orders can be picked up on Tuesday mornings at the Center by noon. If that time doesn’t work for you, we will arrange for you to pick up. We can receive orders through Sunday at 4 p.m. to allow us to get our bakers and ingredients lined up. Message us on Hemphill Community Center’s Facebook or call (606) 671-7023 or (606) 821-2401.
